My first con game is in the works!
The last couple of nights, Rich and I have been coming up with the scenario for the Con game we'll be running at TBR. And it's gonna be good. I just hope other people will feel the same way. I won't say too much about it, since we haven't decided on the blurb yet, but I will say that the idea came about from what I THOUGHT Arref's game was going to be.
The other thing that I need to make sure to work out is that this game and Guess Who don't run counter so I can help her with it. I also don't want to run counter to any of Paul's games because I'd like him to play in this one.
Rich also has a game in mind to run. So we're really jumping in with both feet. I wonder if I'll be brave enough to do this again come ACUS next year.

Assuming I go of course.
If I go, I will run. Deb would handcuff me to something if I didn't.
And I wouldn't like it :)

secret info:
I re-designed "Illuminated" a week before the con. The Original blurb stood for the orig design, but I realized that 4 hours wouldn't be enough time to do the original design justice.... so we played a "slimmed down" and more social version of that orig design.
Sounds like you and Rich are going to have a blast at TBR. Go You!

Paul - Do you think I could ask her to handcuff you to... never mind. :D
And you will go. I WILL find a way for you to go. I refuse to let you NOT go.
Arref - I'm curious how you redesigned it. Will you and Anne be coming to TBR? If not, I may bounce what we have worked up off of you for your opinions. (Though, given the choice, I'd rather have you there than be able to bounce ideas off of you.)

I doubt we will make TBR. I'm not sure about ACN either--which we love and have made our anniversary treat to ourselves since 1999. The RFL's job does not give her much vacation time--and my job tries to figure out ways for me not to spend mine.
:)
These ideas not carved in stone yet.

More people (and games) at TBR is all well and good, but ACN needs you (and your games), too! (Or will, once our website is up.)
It'll be great to see you in Marlborough!

If I can make the money and time off work with the other commitments I have, you'd better believe I'll be there. But even if I'm not, I'll try to send Rich alone.
My biggest fear regarding In Her Shoes at TBR is that it will be running against games run by more noteworthy GMs and that no one will want in! :D

A game with three Players is a great way to start out con GMing. Posting games and getting few players definitely has a silver lining.
